When You Visit
Here’s what you can expect when you visit with us:
Congregational Singing – We are taught, “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19).
Sound Preaching and Teaching – Bible classes and sermons will be simple and Scriptural as preachers and teachers “Preach the word” (2 Timothy 4:2) and “Speak…sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1).
Reverent Prayer – We believe in the power of prayer. “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Prayers will be directed to our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord’s Supper and the Collection – On the first day of the week, the Lord’s supper will be observed as the Lord instructed, with unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). A collection will be taken as the saints lay by in store on the first day of the week as God has prospered them, in accordance with 1 Corinthians 16:1-2.
Caring and Loving People – The Lord’s people are identified by their love (John 13:34-35). As members of Christ’s body, we have the “same care one for another” (1 Corinthians 12:25) – the kind of care where we “rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep” (Romans 12:15).
Come be with us at our next service!
